The Police fue una de la bandas más importantes del rock de los años 80; cuyo estilo musical estuvo marcado por influencias del rock, reggae y jazz. Se formó en 1977 y tocaron oficialmente hasta marzo de 1984. Estaba formada por Sting, voz y bajo; Andy Summers, guitarra y coros y Stewart Copeland, batería y coros.
